General Stanley and Shepherd

General Stanley and Shepherd

This is a 1917 British general in the mountains of Iraq. Stanley Maude encountered a shepherd. Stanley told to his translator that asked from shepered that the general would give you a pound in exchange for slaughtering your dog.

The dog is very important to the shepherd. It grazes his goats, brings back the lost herd, protects the herd from the attacks of the beasts, but the pound is worth more than half the herd, the shepherd thought.  A greedy smile spread across his face, he grabbed the dog and slaughtered it at the general's feet.

General Stanley said to Shepherd, "If you can take off his skin, I will give you another pound. The shepherd will gladly take off the dog's skin."  The shepherd immediately accepted the offer and paid three pounds to the general shepherd.

The general was a few steps ahead when he heard the voice of a shepherd coming from behind. He was coming from behind and saying, "General, if I eat dog meat, will you give me another pound?"

The general nodded in denial that I just wanted to see your psyche and times, you just slaughtered your bodyguard and friend for three pounds, skinned him, cut him into pieces and ate him for a fourth pound.  Be prepared, too, and that's what I need here. Then the general told his comrades that these are the thoughts of the people of this nation so you do not have to be afraid of them.

This is the situation of Muslim countries and societies today, they trade their most valuable and important thing for their own small expediency and need.

And this is the weapon that every colonialist, every occupier, every savage enemy has been using against us, through which he has ruled and through which he has plundered the countries.

There are so many 'shepherds' in our country today who are not only ready to eat dog meat but are also eating the meat of their compatriots and selling their homeland for a few bucks.
